Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26th, 1991) more popularly known as her real title Ari Lennox is an American artist and songwriter hailing who hails from Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist to be associated with J. Cole's record label Dreamville Records. The first single, Pho in October 21st, 2016, was released via Dreamville Records. Her career began to grow in the attention of her peers. Shea Butter Baby, her first album Shea Butter Baby was released on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox began uploading her music onto the internet in 2012, as she dropped her first mixtape called Five Finger Discount and debut EP Ariography in the year 2013. In 2014, she dropped new music through the internet including Bound. In the year 2015, she was featured in Omen's Elephant Eyes Album in the song Sweat it out on July 21. J. Cole asked her to collaborate with him for Rihanna's references. Then, later in the period, she released music that was circulating all over Dreamville. In December, it was revealed 8, that she had joined Dreamville Records. On the Album Revenge of the Dreamers II, she appeared on the song Backseat along with Cozz. Her Pho EP was released on her debut EP, on October 21st on the 21st of October in 2016. Ari Lennox later appeared on J. Cole's song Change and was an opening act for the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour in 2017. In 2018, she appeared as a guest performer on two songs, with EarthGang's Nothing but the Best song and Bas' Icarus. On July 16, 2018, Ari Lennox released the first single Whipped Cream from her debut album Shea Butter Baby with an accompanying music video which debuted on the 5th of September. Her second single called Grampa on the 9th of November. On November 13 two brand new singles, titled"No One and pedigree. She performed with Cole on the Creed II Soundtrack on Shea Butter Baby the 16th of the 16th of November, and released the song as a solo single for Her debut album. The song was followed by the release of a music video in February 20, 2019, and surpassed 3 million views via YouTube in one week. In December of 2018 the singer was a part of her From East Atlanta With Love Tour featuring 6LACK.
